Location:
Paphos lies about 10 miles from the airport, with two distinct
areas both offering there own individual charm. Kato Paphos
has the pretty harbour with pleasure boats you can travel
around the bays on. While inland, the old town, or Kima, is
the place to visit to see the authentic Cypriots going about
there daily living. The old town has an enormous amount of
shops, including a Marks and Spencers, to cater for all your
holiday needs. The man made beach at Paphos has some water
sports available, but a short trip up the road brings you
to Coral Bay which is much better. This is the destination
to come to if you like archaeological sites, as the various
museums and ruins in the vaccinate, will keep you busy throughout
your stay here. At night, There's so many bars, English pubs
and discos you'll be spoilt for choice, while the hotels also
offer great entertainment right up until midnight.
An abundance
of restaurants, and enough fast food outlets to satisfy all
tastes, can be found as you stroll the resort centre. As with
most popular European destinations, there's plenty of Burgers,
Kebabs, Fried Chicken and Pizzas on nearly every pub and bar
menu, and all served with as much chips as you can eat. In
the more traditional eateries, local dishes such as Meze and
various locally caught Fish specials are well worth a try.
Local beers are as good as you'll find anywhere, and the Brandy,
especially Brandy Sours, are virtually given away as the island
makes it's own.
Travelling:
The nearest international airport is Pafos. The nearest beach
is just a short walk. A car is necessary. We can help you
with organizing flights and car hire.
