Holland Road is an enormous town house built about 18O years

character. I have 4 daughters so it is ideal for family holidays
and reunions.
On the
basement floor there is a huge farmhouse kitchen with an Aga
with French doors on to a small private garden with a fountain
and barbecue, which opens on to big communal gardens full
of roses and London plane trees and runs the length of the
block and separately a formal dining room with a piano and
harmonium which seats ten. There is also a full laundry and
an extra loo.
The ground
floor has a study, a separate loo and a large formal drawing
room with a grand piano and vast fireplace and next to it
a large family sitting room with books and TV and VCR and
video and another fireplace. The first floor has two enormous
bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and antique beds. The top
floor has 4 small double bedrooms and a big bathroom.

is the centre of residential London. It is convenient for
shops and public transport of all kinds. There is wonderful

fine food shops and Notting Hill Gate in the other.
Also within walking
distance, is Holland Park itself with wilderness areas, a
children's adventure playground, peacocks and rabbits and
Holland House too which hosts outdoor opera in the summer.
There is also an icehouse which is an art gallery and a lovely
orangery.Tennis courts and an excellent coach, Rocco, can
be found on Brook Green. Kensington New Pools has an enormous
pool and gym about l5 minutes walk away.
