The
Property: A beautifully restored and newly refurbished
oak beamed apartment (sleeps 6), on the upper floors of a
traditional terraced Provencal town house in the heart of
La Garde Freinet. Renovated to retain a wealth of original
features, it has spacious accommodation, including a newly
refurbished, well equipped, kitchen with all mod cons (dishwasher,
washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer). The dining
area has seating for 6. The separate sitting room enjoys wonderful
views over the Maures Mountains and the village itself. The
sitting room leads to a roof terrace, which has a south facing
aspect and stunning views. The two large bedrooms both have
ensuite facilities. In the village you are able to explore
the best of Provence. La Garde Freinet has a wide range of
shops, for everyday needs and excellent restaurants. Market
day is twice a week. The village pool is open in the summer
and there are many good golf courses close by. Fabulous sandy
beaches are found nearby.

information: The apartment (90 m² ) has linen provided.
In the kitchen, there is a clothes dryer, dishwasher, fridge,
grill, hob, kitchenette, microwave, oven and washing machine.
The living room has a sofabed, with seating for 6 people The
dining area has seating for 6 people. There is 1 bathroom,
1 shower room and 1 WC. There are 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1
twin) and they sleep a maximum of 6 people. For entertainment
there is a cd player, a radio, stereo system, tv and video
player.
Outside,
there is a terrace, 6 garden chairs and 2 beach chairs. Children
welcome, pets not allowed, wheelchair inaccessible.
Local
activities include cycling, diving, fishing, golf, horse
riding, mountain biking, paragliding, roller blading, sailing,
surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing, wind-surfing
and boules.
Whilst
children are welcome, the accommodation is not suited to children
under the age of 5. We would also request that if clients
wish to smoke they do not do so inside the appartment. The
roof terrace is south facing and is sunny all day. Sunloungers,
chairs, table and umbrella are all provided on the terrace.

Location:
La Garde Freinet is a beautiful medieval village with wonderful
views. It is nestled in the heart of the Maures Mountains,
far enough from the coast to escape the crowds but less than
15km from the beaches, St Tropez and the autoroute. La Garde
Freinet is a traditional Provencal village, with excellent
restaurants, good shops and a market which comes twice a week.
The village has a year round local population which ensures
an authentic 'French feel'. We think it is perfect!
Apart
from the lovely walks and stunning beaches, there are activities
for all ages, either in the village or within easy reach.
There are numerous excellent golf courses and tennis courts.
Every water sport imaginable is available at the coast. The
French game of Boules can be played in all the towns and villages.
Sainte Maxime, just 20 minutes away, has recently opened a
water theme park and there is another one in Frejus. Locally
there is horse-riding, cycling, basketball or volleyball.
The village pool is 2 minutes walk away and is open throughout
the summer months. The secluded gardens are a perfect haven
for book-worms and sun worshippers.
Fantastic
low cost flight bargains are available to reach Nice, Toulon,
Nimes and Marseilles airports. Car hire is available at the
airports. (A car is needed if you want to explore the area).
The village is reached by roads winding through vineyards,
olive groves and cork oak forests and is less than 20km from
the autoroute.
There
are a wealth of attractions within easy reach of La Garde
Freinet. The area is full of excellent wineries. About 1 hour
north of the village is 'Les Gorges du Verdon' offering spectacular
views, walks, canoeing, canoeing and white water rafting.
Cultural festivals are held throughout the year, with many
in the village itself. Great shopping opportunities are available
in the towns, such as Nice, St Tropez and Aix en Provence.
The apartment is perfectly located to explore the area.
Travelling:
The nearest international airports are Nice, Marseilles
90 km, Toulon at 60 kilometres. The nearest beach is 15 kilometres.
Nearest motorway junction: A8 at 20 kilometres.
