The
Property: A beautiful setting for this charming old stone
provencal farmhouse (sleeps 6) -originally an olive farm -
which is the owner's home. Not overlooked. Peaceful and secluded
without being isolated. In two acres of olive groves, meadow
and woodland. On three levels (difficult to show in photos).
Very well equipped. Sandy beaches, lakes, and gorges within
15 miles. Nice and Toulon airports just under an hour away.
TGV Stations at St Raphael and Les Arcs each 20 minutes. TAC
(car on train) at St Raphael, though Avignon is more cost
effective!
Extra
information: The farmhouse has central heating, a safe,
towels and linen provided. In the kitchen, there is a 4 ring
stove, clothes dryer, dishwasher, freezer, fridge, grill,
hob, microwave, oven and washing machine. The living room
has seating for 6 people. The dining area has a child's highchair
and seating for 6 people. There is 1 bathroom, 1 shower room
and 2WC. There are 3 bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 twin, 1 cot) and
they sleep a maximum of 6 people. For entertainment there
is a cd player, a radio, satellite or cable, stereo system,
tv and video player.
Outside,
there is a balcony, barbecue, garden, parking swimming pool,
terrace and 10 garden chairs. Children welcome, pets considered,
suitable for elderly or infirm, wheelchair inaccessible.
Local
activities include cycling, fishing, golf, horse riding,
mountain biking, paragliding, swimming, tennis, walking, coach
trips, rambling, climbing, and lazing round the pool !
This is
the owner's permanent home, so it is well equipped for normal
living. The farmhouse is comfortably furnished with style
- beamed country kitchen/dining room with woodburner and farm
table. Large stone walled sitting room with open fire, Sky
Digital TV, lots of videos and bulging bookcases. 3 bedrooms
- 1 double with en suite bathroom/WC, 1 double with 4ft bed,
and 1 twin bedded. Shower room and 2nd toilet. Utility room
with washing machine. The garden is not overlooked, and is
securely fenced. There are two terraces with tables and chairs,
and a sun-trap terrace. Large stone-built barbecue on south
facing terrace with table shaded by passion flower, jasmin
and honeysuckle. Garden lighting and fountain. Boules area.
Child-safe pool 18 ft dia x 4 ft deep.
Location:
The farmhouse is a couple of miles outside the village of
Callas, which is a medieval hill top village between the pines
and the vines -in one of the most scenic areas in the Heart
of Provence. The village is 5 minutes by car or 20 mins by
pretty cross-country stroll (butcher, baker, grocer, newsagent,
post office, tobacconist, bars and restaurants) There are
two restaurants within walking distance. The A8 Autoroute
is 15 minutes away (Junction 36) giving easy access to the
whole of the French Riviera. The bay of St. Tropez , Frejus,
St Raphael, and St Maxime beaches are 15 miles away.
Golf in
France has adopted two of the the most widespread Gallic traits:
a relaxed and informal attitude and exceptional food! Within
an hour's drive we have - ST ENDREOL (10 minutes away, Women's
French Open) - LA GRANDE BASTIDE (designed for golfers of
varying ability) - GRASSE (1800 ft above sea level) - OPIO
VALBONNE (parkland opened 25 years ago) - ROYAL MOUGINS (Cannes
Open) - ST DONAT (suits srategists rather than power merchants)
- BARBAROUX (The Bay Hill Club). Also, just 20 mins away,we
have St Raphael (flattish) and Roquebrun (beautiful scenery)
Dress Code: Smart Casual - jeans are tolerated.
Travelling:
The nearest international airports is Nice at 43 miles.
The nearest beach is 15 miles. The nearest railway station
is Les Arcs at 10 miles. Nearest motorway junction is Le Muy
at 8 miles Car is recommended

25% Reservation Fee is paid by way of an advance of rent.
Balance due 6 weeks before rental period begins, together
with a Returnable Security Deposit of £300 (for breakages,
etc.)
