2), which was once an olive farm. Comfortably furnished with
full central heating. Towels and linen included in the price.
Quiet and secluded without being isolated. Set in 2 acres
with panoramic views. Village 5 minutes by car (butcher, baker,
grocer, newsagent, post office, tobacconist, bars and restaurants)
Two restaurants within walking distance. Sandy beaches, lakes,
gorges and golf courses within 15 miles. Nice airport just
under an hour away.
Extra
information: The farmhouse has central heating, a safe,
towels and linen provided. In the kitchen, there is a 2 ring
stove, clothes dryer, fridge, grill, hob, kitchenette, oven
and washing machine. The living room has a sofabed and seating
for 6 people. The dining area has a child's highchair and
seating for 4 people. There is 1 shower room and 1WC. There
is 1 bedroom (1 double, 1 childrens bed, 1 cot) and they sleep
a maximum of 2 people. For entertainment there is a cd player,
a radio, tv and video player.
Outside,
there is a barbecue, garden, parking swimming pool, terrace
and 6 garden chairs. Children welcome, long term renters welcome,
pets considered, suitable for elderly or infirm, wheelchair
inaccessible.
Local
activities include cycling, diving, fishing, golf, horse
riding, mountain biking, paragliding, sailing, swimming, tennis,
walking, wind-surfing, rambling, climbing
The Main
House and the Ground Floor Apartment are back-to-back, with
separate entrances, affording complete privacy. Comfortably
furnished with central heating included in the price. Entrance
hall. Living room with sette and armchairs, dining table &
chairs, well-filled bookshelves, TV and video player with
lots of English cassettes. Separate kitchen - fully equipped.
Bedroom with 4ft double bed and plenty of storage space. Shower
room and WC. Three acres of olive groves, woodland and meadows
with a child-safe 18 ft dia pool 4 ft deep. Barbecue and boules
area. Not overlooked. The whole property is securely fenced,
with automatic locking gates.
Location:
The farmhouse is outside the village of Callas, which is a
medieval hill top village between the pines and the vines
-in one of the most scenic areas in the Heart of Provence.
The village is 5 minutes by car or 20 mins by pretty cross-country
stroll (butcher, baker, grocer, newsagent, post office, tobacconist,
bars and restaurants) There are two restaurants within walking
distance. The A8 Autoroute is 15 minutes away (Junction 36)
giving easy access to the whole of the French Riviera. The
bay of St. Tropez , Frejus, St Raphael, and St Maxime beaches
are 15 miles away.
Golf in
France has adopted two of the the most widespread Gallic traits:
a relaxed and informal attitude and exceptional food! Within
an hour's drive we have - ST ENDREOL (10 minutes away, Women's
French Open) - LA GRANDE BASTIDE (designed for golfers of
varying ability) - GRASSE (1800 ft above sea level) - OPIO
VALBONNE (parkland opened 25 years ago) - ROYAL MOUGINS (Cannes
Open) - ST DONAT (suits srategists rather than power merchants)
- BARBAROUX (The Bay Hill Club). Also, just 20 mins away,we
have St Raphael (flattish) and Roquebrun (beautiful scenery)

The nearest international airports is Nice at 43 miles. The
nearest beach is 15 miles. The nearest railway station is
Les Arcs at 10 miles. Nearest motorway junction is Le Muy
at 8 miles Car is recommended.

Notes
to the Rental rates:
£18 a night for Saturday to Saturday bookings - better
value than a hotel! £20 a night for short week and midweek
bookings.
50% Reservation Fee is paid by way of an advance of rent.
Balance due 6 weeks before rental period begins, together
with a returnable Security Deposit of £150 (for breakages
etc).
The price includes towels and bed linen. Electricity at 5p
per unit (central heating controlled by you) which averaged
out at £15 a week last winter.
