The Property: Beautifully finished and furnished throughout to provide first class accomodation to sleep up to 5. There are one double and 2 single bedrooms together with a sofa bed in a sleeping area that leads to a terrace offering stunning views of Chania, the Akrotiri peninsula and the White Mountains. The spacious living area that is interconnected to the fully equipped kitchen greets you as you enter the villa. This villa boasts two well appointed bathrooms. There is a pool and bar-b-q and terrace areas shared with Villa Theodoros which is next door. The owner, Papantonis, offers guests one complimentary traditional meal during their stay and the opportunity to order home cooked food which is delivered to your villa.

Giorgios (to sleep 5) stand side by side with another villa in the sleepy village of Astratigos opposite the church. They share a 40 sq. metre swimming pool with paddling pool. The villas are ideally suited to families or holidaymakers looking for total rest and relaxation away from the upheaval of busy life. The owner, Papantonis, is the local priest and he has lovingly restored these two houses with great care and taste to provide all the modern amenities demanded by the discerning holidaymaker.

Extra information: The villa (100 m²) has air-conditioning, towels and linen provided. In the kitchen, there is a freezer, a fridge grill, hob and oven. The living room has a fireplace and seating for 5 people The dining area has seating for 6 people. There are 2 bathrooms. There are 3bedrooms (1 double, 2 singles, 1 sleeping gallery) and they sleep a maximum of 5 people. For entertainment, there is satellite or cable, tv.

Outside, there is a balcony, barbecue, garden, parking, swimming pool, terrace, 6 garden chairs and 4 beach chairs. Children welcome, pets not allowed, suitable for elderly or infirm.

Local activities include: swimming, walking, Bird watching.

Location: The rural village of Astratigos lies 900 metres above sea level on the rugged Rodopos peninsula, about 30kms west of Chania. The nearest large town is Kolimbari at 5kms. The nearest beach is at Afrata, 2 kms away. Here you will find a delightful little cove with a pebble beach lapped by the crystal clear Aegean waters. There is a small cantina on the beach. Astratigos, close to almost everything but away from the tourist hotspots is perfect for a holiday of total rest and relaxation in a traditional Cretan village. In Afrata just a couple of minutes away by car, there are tavernas and kafenion and in Kolimbari, shops, a supermarket, a bank and some very good tavernas for local cuisine. All around Astratigos there are tracks to explore where you can enjoy serious walking or a more leisurely amble. There is abundant flora and fauna.

Travelling: The nearest international airport is Chania at 30 kilometres. The nearest beach is 2 kilometres. The neearest ferry port is Souda at 30 kilometres.
A car is necessary.
