The Property: Villa Mar Azul - A stunning, nearly new villa in a privileged location overlooking the Mediterranean and the town and castle of Salobrena. Everyone who enters the house is left speechless because from the moment you open the beautiful stained glass door, you are faced with truly awe inspiring views of the sea, mountains, and the castle of Salobrena. Villa Mar Azul has everything you could possibly need to relax and enjoy, from air conditioning and heating to a heated pool, satellite TV, DVD, a gas barbeque, tables and chairs for al fresco dining and sun loungers. Extra information: The villa has air and heating conditioning in lounges, dining room and kitchen. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and room heaters in winter. It has 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 twin bedrooms). It has a comfortable sofa bed for one. Sleeps 7 in total. There are 3 bathrooms(All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms). The kitchen is fully equipped, all electric with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, juicer, washing machine, iron/board. The living rooms have 3 lounges plus separate dining area. Dining room table seats 6 and the breakfast bar seats 3. Satellite TV/radio, DVD, portable radio, cassette and CD player, books.

Linen and towels (including beach towels) are provided. Maid service during visit can be arranged if desired.

Outside, the villa has a fantastic swimming pool (8 x 4 meter). It is a solar heated swimming pool with thermal cover that is perfect for year round enjoyment. The villa has 200 plus meters of tiled terraces around the pool with outdoor table and chairs, sun loungers and gas BBQ. Fifty meters of terraces are around the pool with outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining & enjoyment of the wonderful views. A hundred meters of garden area next to the pool. Guests also have free access to the private, community recreation area that includes tennis court, football field, large pool, childrens pool, playground, and table tennis.

Location: Salobrena, dazzling and white, in the heart of the Costa Tropical, situated on a hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean. It is one of the prettiest towns in southern Spain with its winding narrow streets and magnificent Moorish castle perched high on the hill. The scenery ranges from lush sugar cane, fruit plantations, rugged snow-capped mountains, coves and beaches, pine forests and almond groves. The area enjoys a sub-tropical climate, with a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius in winter & 25 degrees in summer, allowing for year round enjoyment of the nearby golf course and the various beaches spread over 19 kilometres of coastline.

Opportunities for walking, climbing, water sports (the beach is only 5 minutes away), golf (only 10 minutes to the nearest course), horse riding, hang gliding and even skiing in the Sierra Nevada. Nearby mountain villages await to be discovered where it seems as if time has stopped. Granada, the Moorish capital with the breathtaking Alhambra Palace and relaxing thermal spas are only 45 minutes away, Malaga 1 hr, Nerja 30 minutes, Almunecar waterpark 15 minutes. You won´t be bored here, unless you just want to sit by the pool and take in the views!

There is inexpensive excellent seafood, wines and local markets offering superb fresh produce. The owners live in the area and provide useful information on everything from sight seeing and entertainment options to restaurant and shopping.

Friday is our preferred changeover day. There is a 30% deposit when booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. Payment via bank transfer or Visa/Mastercard (2% surcharge). Security deposit of € 400 payable upon arrival. Energy-efficient electric pool heating available. Charge based on electricity consumed. Supplement of 100 € per week for more than 6 people.
