Beautiful villa with panoramic views of
Lake Vinuela and mountains
The
Property: Villa on the Costa del Sol, Spain: This detached
spacious villa (sleeps 6) lies just below the tiny white village
of Los Romanes and enjoys fabulous views over Lake Vinuela
with its amazing turquoise coloured water and the most dramatic
backdrop of the the mountain ranges of Sierra Tejada. The
village which is a typical Pueblo is a 10min walk away and
has a very good restaurant where you can meet the locals,
two small super markets, village bars and an olive mill.There
are other excellent restaurants on the lake shore where the
views are equally spectacular and the most amazing jamoneria
that sells fantastic wines, hams and cheeses,. The villa is
superbly located near to an excellent connecting road network
giving very easy access to all main centres including Marbella
60- 70 min away, Granada 90 mins, Nerja 30 minutes. Our local
beach resort of Torre Del Mar is only 15 minutes away.
Extra
information: The fully fitted kitchen, with its dishwasher,
fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, electric kettle etc, is
really easy to run, cooking for six is no problem in the full
sized oven and the dishwasher does the rest! The family sized
washing machine is situated in a separate utility room and
there is a full 'whirlygig' clothes line which dries the washing
in no time.
Air conditioning/heating
is installed and a log burning stove is also installed in
the lounge for that extra touch of cosiness, olive wood logs
are supplied. As well as A/C, all bedrooms have ceiling fans
fitted which makes for a very pleasant environment. The large
covered terrace has a built in BBQ, outside dining set and
very comfortable patio seating for 6 adults. The rooftop solarium
offers secluded sun bathing area and even more spectacular
views and the private garden has a swimming pool with large
sun bathing area. Several children's inflatable toys are provided
together with a tots' mini inflatable pool.
The villa
has 3 bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 6 people. Bedrooms:
1 double, 2 twins, 1 cot. Entertainment includes a audio tape
player, cd, radio, satellite or cable, tv and video player.
Location:
This is a really pretty area with green rolling hills and
the dramatic mountains of the Sierra Tejada rearing up across
the lake to twice the height of Mount Snowdon, occasionally
you will see buzzards soaring across the lake from their homes
in the rocky heights, smaller birds of prey are quite common
too. You need only cross the lake to the 'Natural Park' where
the walking is said to be un-equalled anywherre in Spain.
In the Spring the fields are carpeted with the prettiest wildflowers
you've ever seen. Throughout the year, but especially in August,
there are lots of festivals and carnivals to which the locals
will welcome you with typical Andalucian warmth. If wild life
is not to your taste then there are local beaches stretching
along the whole of the coast, there is a great water park
with huge slides in nearby Torre Del Mar, and the town of
Nerja offers spectacular caves to visit, not to mention the
'Balcon de Europa' and the trendy Burriana Beach area.
Places
to Visit (Alhambra at Granada) - this magnificent sight is
definately worth a visit. The drive is about 1 hour and half
hour. (Nerja Caves) - Spectacular Cave Complex. (Alpujarrás)
- The setting for the popular book 'Driving over Lemons'.
(Traditional Spanish Pueblos) - Hundreds of traditional Spanish
'white washed' villages can be found in the Andalusian countryside.
Each has its own character and have remained unchanged for
hundreds of years. (Sierra Nevada) - Magnificent mountain
range including ski resort.The coast and the beaches are only
15 minutes away by car at Torre del Mar or explore further
with the beaches of Torrox and Nerja east of Torre del Ma,r
all within half and hour drive.of the villa. If you go west
towards Malaga, the Marina and Old town are well worth a visit
with its Picasso Museum and Cathedral area a must. Further
a field about 45minutes are the more bustling towns of Mijas
Benalmadena, and Fuengirola.
A welcome
pack is provided which includes local wine and other goodies
to give you a good start to your holiday. You have exclusive
use of the swimming pool which is approximately 8Metres by
4 Metres and 2Metres deep at the deepest end and 1.25 Metres
at the shallow end. Surrounding the pool is very good sized
patio area with 5 sunbeds and matresses and a parasol and
coffee tables. The views from the pool are unbelievable, there
is plenty of room for games around the pool if you can stop
looking at the views. Provision is made inside the villa to
escape the sun with plenty of books, games, tv and play station.
Golf Enthusiasts!
There are two very good golf courses close by:- Baviera Golf,
18 holes, length 5,910 metres, Par-72 (Telephone Spain: 952
555 015) at Caleta de Velez (Torre del Mar) and Club Anoreta,
18 holes, Length 5,976 metres, Par-72, Slope-124. (Telephone
Spain: 952 404 000) at Rincon de la Victoria (Axarquia). Baviera
Golf is the most welcoming of the two courses and Anoreta
is the most challeging of the two.
