2 Bed Apartment - Frigiliana, Andalucia, Spain
The
Property: This is a recently built two bedroom apartment
within the picturesque, white-washed Andalucian village of
Frigiliana. The kitchen is fully fitted with oven, dishwasher,
fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. The open-plan
lounge/dining room has a television, DVD and CD player. Off
the lounge is a small terrace with parasol, table and patio
chairs. This terrace has the morning and early afternoon sun
with views of the Sierra Tejada National Park and down the
Chilar gorge to the sea.
Both
bedrooms have fitted wardrobes; the master bedroom has a balcony
with sea and mountain views. The bathroom has a shower over
bath. There is a secured underground parking garage if required.
All areas of the apartment complex have wheelchair access.
In addition the apartment has a baby cot, high chair, picnic
cooler, a child's fold-up bed, beach parasol and sun loungers
available for guests.
Location:
Frigiliana is a delightful Andalucian village about 50km east
of Malaga and about 5 km inland from Nerja. Its white-washed
houses, cobbled streets and church square have a Spanish charm
all of their own. The village has friendly local stores, a
weekly market, restaurants and bars, all within walking distance
of the apartment. The Tourist Office offers guided walking
tours of the upper village. There are a series of ceramic
plaques throughout the village which depict the rich cultural
history of Frigiliana since Moorish times. The village is
also popular with walkers as there are many trails and circular
walks throughout the Tejada National Park. The village has
several fiestas throughout the year including street processions,
a funfair, a temporary erected bull ring and a smaller version
of Pamplonaâ€s running of the bulls through
the cobbled streets (early June).
The lively
resort town of Nerja with its 7 beaches is just a short drive
away (the road to Nerja was significantly improved in 2003).
There is also a good bus service to Nerja so a car is not
essential. To the east of Nerja there are several secluded
beaches, some with fairly steep dirt track access. Further
east lies the picturesque village of La Herradura, which derives
its name from "The Horseshoe" bay that is formed
by its two headlands. Nerja has many activities including
water sports, tennis, walking, sailing, horse riding and hang
gliding. Three golf courses are within a ½ hour
drive. There is also skiing on the Sierra Nevada in the winter
is approximately a 1 hour drive. There are many options for
day trips from Frigiliana; for example Granada, Malaga, Marbella,
Seville, Gibraltar, Ronda and Cordoba.

Notes to the rental rates:
We are flexible on arrival and departure dates. To allow for
cleaning and servicing of the apartment we ask guests to arrive
no earlier than 4pm and leave no later than 10am on departure.
We can be more flexible than this depending on whether there
are back-to-back bookings. Rental price includes electricity,
gas and a welcome pack. A 20% deposit is required on booking
with the balance due 4 weeks before arrival. We offer a taxi
service from Malaga airport or we can advise on car rental
options. Significant discounts are available for longer term
lets.
