The Property: The apartment (sleeps 5), one of 3, is found on the first floor of a typical Italian villa, surrounded by a landscape garden featuring a variety of local fruit and olive trees, gazebo and shaded car parking area for the guests. The roof of the villa has been made into a solaruim,where sunbeds,a cold shower, bar-be- que and a shaded dining area can be found.The apartment consists of 1 double bedroom, 1 small room with bunk-beds, kitchen/living room with divan T.V.and video , shower room and balcony. Set in established rural vineyard location, the family home of local Anglo / Italian family is an ideal location for tasting the local way of life and to explore the historic and cultural interests of southern Italy. Within sight of the sea, and a short walk away from the village of San Marco, the modern accommodation retains the benefits of traditional Italian construction with cool high ceilings ideal for those long hot summer holidays. First floor Apartment looking towards the sea this modern apartment enjoys a western aspect, the kitchenette / dining area has gas cooker ,electric oven , fridge, sink, storage cupboards, a table and seating area ,Divan-bed T.V and video which opens out on to a balcony. One double bedroom with a French window and a small bunk bedded room . The tiled shower room is equipped with toilet, bidet ,shower and large washing sink, hot water is provided by an electric emersion heated tank.

On the roof there is a romantic roof terrace where you can enjoy sunbathing on sunbeds during the day and in the evening having a quiet bar-be-que or just a drink in the lazy hot evenings looking over towards the sea and up onto the romantic medieval town of Castellabate Casa Palma is situated in a rural area 10 minutes walk from the village and the beach. Nearby there is a restuarnt and bar otherwise in the village you can find a number of restaurants, bars and shops. The neighbouring village of Santa Maria, slightly larger than San Marco, boasts of a greater selection of shops,restuarants , gelateries and Bars. Castellabate the medieval village situated on the hill now under patronage of the UNESCO offers stunning views of the coastline with silhouette of the Amalfi coast and the Capri island. Here you can explore the hidden alleyways and marvel at the historic architecture.

Extra information: The villa (40 m²) has a bed & breakfast facility as well as self-catering. It has internet access, a sunbed, towels and linen provided. In the kitchen, there is a 4 ring stove, an oven, a fridge and washing machine. The living room has a sofabed and seating for 6 people The dining area has seating for 6 people. There is 1 shower room and 1 WC. There are 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 room with 3 beds, 1 cot) and they sleep a maximum of 5 people. For entertainment there is a: tv and video.

Outside, there is a balcony, barbecue, garden, parking and 6 garden chairs. Children welcome, long term renters welcome, pets not allowed, suitable for elderly or infirm, wheelchair inaccessible.

Location: San Marco has a heritage worth exploring, the pretty harbour a safe haven for local fishermen and seafaring holiday makers is built on a more ancient greek harbour still visible today., surrounded by coves and inlets once domain of pirates. San Marco is situated in the gulf of Salerno on the Cilento coast just down from the gulf of Naples and the Amalfi coast in the National Cilento Park .It is an ideal base for those who wish to explore the historic and cultural interests of this part of Italy as well as being on the coastal area where the blue flag has been awarded for clean seas.You may visit such places as : The Greek Temples of Paestum and the Buffalo mozzarella farm, Pompei, Herculaneum, Vesuvis,Amalfi coast, Capri and Ishia, or go for the day in the beauty center and water park with the children or up into the National park area and explore inland by boat up the river or by foot.Private excursions can be made with an english driver.

The apartment has access to a roof solarium where visitors can enjoy uninterrupted views towards Castellabate or the sea, there is a barbeque if you wish. Within easy reach are a number of sites of interest, the area is steeped in history, both Greek and Roman such as Paestuim and Velia, however if you prefer a coast of sandy and rocky bays with clear blue sea. Excursions: Pompei, Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Sorrento and the Islands of Capri.In the opposite direction the untouched Cilento coast down to Palinuro the village of the mermaids myths.National Park area .You can be taken on these excursions privately by an English driver and guide at a minimuim cost.

Travelling: The nearest international airports is Naples airport at 120 kilometres. The nearest beach is 1 kilometres. Nearest ferry port: Salerno also San Marco only July and August. The nearest railway station is Agropoli / Castellabate at 15 kilometres. Nearest motorway junction is Battapaglia at 40 kilometres. Car: recommended.
