The Property: This "Olivia D'Windrift home is located on the privately secluded 14 acre Olivia D'Windrift Estate at Dolphin Head, with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean and a gorgeous private beach. With 5 bedrooms plus a loft and 3½ baths, this home will sleep 2 to 16 people comfortably.

Wake up to the sounds of the ocean and enjoy the panoramic view as you relax in bed or on the deck. Enjoy all the comforts of home including air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, VCR, movie videos, DVD player, stereo and CD player. For your convenience, the gourmet kitchen is fully functional and includes a dishwasher and microwave.

Renold and Janice are the caretakers of the homes on the Olivia d'Windrift estate . Janice, who is without question the finest chef on the island (very reasonable) will prepare a delicious Bahamian feast in your kitchen. Her husband Renold operates a private fishing and diving charter operation (23 ft. Sea Wind) and has an intimate knowledge of the Cat Island marine environment. He never comes back empty-handed! What a wonderful way to conclude a memorable day, a family cook-out with your own catch of snapper, grouper , mahi-mahi , conch or lobster. Bring along your favorite spirits. The wet bar makes it simple to create even the most exotic island cocktails.

Then sit back and enjoy the tranquility. Try snorkeling or diving right outside the door. Our private beach is on a reef protected cove. Exotic sea life is waiting for you to discover. Colorful corals and brightly colored fish await you below! A small power boat is included at the private marina if you'd like to go out fishing or sight-seeing on your own. If you prefer the land, you can relax on the beach. Or, if you're feeling adventuresome, you can go for a walk on Cat Island's famous "Pink Sand" Beach. Cool breezes and breath-taking sunsets are all inclusive on Cat Island.

Bring the kids or make this trip a romantic getaway for two! Biycles, sea kayaks, and fishing poles are included for your enjoyment. Other amenities include a swimming pool and tennis court. To assure your privacy, the closest house is almost ¼ mile away. Grocery store and excellent dining within driving distance away.

5 bedrooms plus loft 3½ bath home fully furnished with oceanfront view, large oceanfront deck, private beach and cove, swimming pool, tennis court, propane barbecue grill, wet bar, bicycles, sea kayaks, and a 14' boat with a 15hp Mercury outboard motor.

2 master suites with private baths both with king beds (makes two families sharing A LOT easier) .......3rd bedroom queen, 4th bedroom full, 5th bedroom single, and the loft has 2 twins. Great room pullout is a queen, also air bed, rollaways available for extra guests.......total maximum guests 16.

Full gourmet kitchen: dishwasher, microwave, oven/stove, toaster, coffee maker, cappuccino machine, blender, dishes, cookware, utensils, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board. Household: Satellite TV, VCR, movie videos, DVD player, stereo and CD player, telephone, modem jack, adult board games, linens/towels, beach towels, beach chairs and beach umbrella.

Private pilots may land at the private airstrip. A rental vehicle is available by request from the home owner. Rate information may be obtained at the time reservations are made. Grocery store and excellent restaurants are within driving distance away. No smoking. Sorry .... no pets.

Location: Located over 300 miles from Miami, "Cat Island" should not be confused with "Cat Cay", which is part of "The Bimini Islands". Cat Island's distinction from the other Islands is that it is home to the highest point in the Bahamas. Mount Alvernia is 206' above sea level. Cat Island Bahamas is the sixth largest island in the chain. It is located approximately 135 miles southeast of Nassau and 25 miles south of Eleuthera.

Cat Island is the ideal vacation spot if you're looking for a quiet relaxing getaway. It's 150 square miles of beaches, forests, and rolling hills gives Cat Island the feeling of peaceful tranquility. With a population under 2,000, you'll be able to enjoy quiet walks on the beautiful beaches...including the eight mile long "Pink Sand Beach".

It is believed that Cat Island was named after the pirate "Arthur Catt", who was known to have frequented the island. There are numerous historical sites to see while visiting Cat Island Bahamas. One such place is "The Hermitage", a monastery built by Father Jerome. Father Jerome was a reclusive Roman Catholic Priest who was known for building cathedrals and convents all over The Bahamas. He passed on in 1956 but a little piece of his architecture remains at the top of Mount Alvernia.

The Bahamas are home to some of the most sought after game fish in the world. Whether you are an avid fisherman or new to the sport, you are sure to enjoy the challenge of reeling in "the big one". Beautiful fish, colorful corals, sea fans, and seashells in their most natural state can be appreciated the best way by diving.
